Did you know stress is the cause for 70-80% of disease and illness? (according to the American Medical Association) These statistics are devastating but we Americans often push ourselves to our limits with deadlines, traffic, too much stimulation, and financial pressure. When you are stressed, your natural killer cells which fight infection and disease are decreased. Stress seems to be a contributing factor in everything from cancer and chronic fatigue syndrome to backaches and insomnia.

                          Ways To Reduce Stress

1. Breathe - A simple technique: In through the nose out through the mouth. Imagine all the negative energy departing as you breathe out. Release the stress from head to toe.

2. Become an optimist- Think positive - sadness and irritation can turn to laughter and calmness. Optimists are linked to less stress, less infectious disease, better health, longer mortality, and a more relaxed life.

3. Abandon the TV for a week and give your mind a break from the assault on our senses. Instead, read a book, go for a walk, hop on the treadmill, do jumping jacks, socialize or turn on some music and groove. Feel the difference.

4. Laughter. There is nothing like a good belly laugh. Laughter cleanses us, reduces stress hormones and stimulates the immune system.

5. Get a Massage. Research on massage therapy suggests that there is a reduction in stress levels following a massage. We in turn will feel less pain, less depressed and anxious, less fatigued, and have less difficulty falling asleep (Touch Research Institute). Massage puts you in a state of rest so that your body can effectively repair itself. It helps cleanse and detoxify the mind and body so you feel balanced again and free of pain.

Just Imagine.. you are laying on the massage table in full bliss as your muscles are skillfully worked and relaxed. Your pain and your troubles melt away as the soft music makes you feel like you are floating, letting the therapists' hands work wonders. Gone is the back pain and anxiety that existed all day. Bio: Since I was little I was the one who always made people feel better by talking to them and helping them solve their own problems. As I was older I knew I was different from other kids. I was very focused and quiet and always wanted my surroundings quiet as well. I love to meditate and sometimes do it for an hour that feels like 5 minutes. I am in tune with my body and love to help people out of their pain. I lost it for awhile but gained it back again. I am into truth, I am excellent at what I do. I sense someone's pain with my hands, as I scan the body and work on alleviating it by using individual needs. Opening up the healthy side first so the pain has somewhere to go when working on the hurting side. I use different techniques for different clients. I truly love my work, it doesn't feel like work at all, it fits me like a glove. I feel humbled, satisfied and grateful at the end of the day.
